Giso of Fukuyama established in 1804 by the investment of private citizens such as Shubee Kawai was aimed at giving the poor rice as well as various social work in a year of a natural disaster. A purpose of this article is to introduce relief activity for a seven times that Giso performed. By the first relief carried out in 1823, they distributed rice of 140.4t to the poor in Fukuyama territory. However, they were not able to realize 360t that were an original aim. The second one was carried out in 1836, and they distributed rice of 45t to the poor in possessing it.
