International audience2015 February 16 n°2015-177 Act defines animals as “living beings endowed with sensibility” while submitting them to the property regime “subject to provisions regarding their protection”.To deal with this incoherence, we recommend rebuilding the category of the persons, legally speaking, in order to integrate animals. The law differentiates natural persons and legal persons.We suggest integrating animals into the category of natural persons by distinguishing precisely between human persons and non-human persons.
