Attracting investments for renewing infrastructure, developing onshore gas activity or carbon capture and storage are just a few of the policy entries in the United Kingdom's long list of priorities for enhancing the country's energy security. With the expansion of onshore wind farms and the Westminster government's stance in favour of growing a UK unconventional gas industry, this country seems set to grow more onshore energy projects despite the resistance of local communities and a vocal anti-fracking public opinion.
