Ann R. Hull, a Democrat, served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing the second district of Prince George's County from 1967 to 1978 and was Speaker Pro Tem of the House during the 1975-1976 session. During the 1990s Hull was a member of the Board of Regents for the University of Maryland.
