In this paper, an algorithm for reverse transformation process of enumerated graphs of epicyclic gear mechanisms into a functional representation has been introduced using acyclic graph method. The displacement graph is divided into its elementary gear units which are then connected to form the functional representation of such a mechanism. Transformation of displacement graphs with up to 11-link mechanisms having at least 4 coaxial links and up to 8 coaxial links can be performed using the proposed algorithm
