International audienceThe record of non-fortified Gallic agglomerations in the north-east of Gaul and in the civitates of the Leuci and the Mediomatrici in particular is comparativly scanty. Little work has been done on this type of settlement in the region. By using findings on the subjetct made elsewhere, it is possible to identify three agglomerations with certainty on the basis of excavated structures. Ten other very poorly known sites may be added to the list. All of the data available for these thirteen agglomerations are presented. They re-situate these settlements within the series of craft-based settlements identified throughout Celtic Europe.
