The paper illustrates and reflects upon the recovery, enhancement and sustainable reuse of military architectures in small Mediterranean islands on the base of the valorisation projects carried out by the partners of the research project “ISOS - Sustainable islands: Network of islands for the long-lasting development and preservation of heritage” (Interreg Italy-France Maritime Program 2014-2020), to which the authors take part.
