This article, we will carry out an analysis of the City of Constantinople, founded by Emperor Constantine, as the new capital and rival of Rome. Thus, there was an inversion of the political, cultural and economic axis in the Mediterranean world, in which East gains a fundamental prominence, as propagator of Greco-Roman culture.
