The article analyzes the evolution of the inequality of opportunities of higher education attainment in Argentina and Mexico according to social origin towards 2015, through cohorts born between 1952 and 1986. The influence of three factors linked to inequalities of origin is investigated: social class, educational level and region of residence at birth and infancy. A statistical analysis is applied of two sources: ENES-PISAC 2015 survey for Argentina and the 2016 Social Mobility Module of INEGI for Mexico.
