De la portada al retablo: La iglesia de Nª Sª del Valle (Villafranca de los Barros)

This article is the transcription of the presentation entitled: from the cover to the altarpiece: Ntra. Sra. Del Valle’s church in Villafranca de los Barros included in the VIIIth conferences of History José Antonio Soler Díaz‐Cacho and developed at Luis de Morales School on the 5th of April of 2018. In that transcription, a historic and artistic tour is made about the circumstances that the building of Ntra. Sra. Del Valle’s church and its two artistic elements generated: the cover of Perdón and the older altarpiece, analyzing the compositive and ornamental of both elements.Este artículo es la transcripción de la ponencia titulada: De la portada al retablo: Iglesia de Ntra. Sra. del Valle de Villafranca de los Barros incluida dentro de las VIII Jornadas de Historia José Antonio Soler Díaz‐Cacho y desarrollada en el IES Luis de Morales el día 5 de abril de 2018. En él se hace un recorrido histórico y artístico por las circunstancias que generaron la construcción de la iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Valle y de sus dos elementos artísticos más valiosos: la portada del Perdón y el retablo mayor, analizando la estructura compositiva y decorativa de ambos elementos
