Abstract Results from an experimental research, in which the causal effect of gender (male - female), historic work performance (above average – average), quality of relationships with supervisor and co-workers (good relationships – bad relationships), and the existence of economic dependants (with economic dependants – without economic dependants) on a promotion decision are reported.
