This work aims to analyze how the teaching practice contributes to the development of children's orality and their cognitive abilities in the Municipal School of Early Childhood Education, Professora Marisa Filomena do Amaral, located in the city Bragança Paulista, state of São Paulo, in the year 2015. methodology is qualitative, the techniques used were interview, focus group and observation. The population was made up of teachers, parents and students. The sample is not probabilistic. In the scope of the discussion are discussed aspects about the relation between speech and writing.
