The present article is focused on developing a general exposition, from a comprehensive vision, of the three main levels, necessary to take into account when carrying out the detailed study of language pathologies -both innate and acquired-, through a neuropsycholinguistic approach - not necessarily novel. A tiered approach would facilitate the understanding of the different components, processes and behaviors involved and that are part of the linguistic processing system (LPS), both in normal subjects and in those with a certain clinical condition.
