Formación del profesorado y desarrollo escolar: algunas observaciones y propuestas

Teacher training depends on the type of school that we want to have. The author warns us that the convergence of school programmes and the social development reduce the anticipatory and guiding strength of educational thought. The only thing that the open school does is to repeat the same schemes that the Illustration could not carry out. With this the school is impoverished and the educational thought reproduces or repeats what is demanded by the industrial world, instead of creating innovations that overcome the prevailing mentality. The author's proposal is to foster a school-theatre capable of creating a common base of an experience shared by all, within a limited frame and time, versus a school-workshop, garden, sitting-room and community centre. He proposes a school with its own personality, a place where we can learn new things about ourselves and the world. This model requieres a training of tachers centred in the architecture, the teaching, the learning and the school topics, that is, a training that should be the outcome of an integration of all the institutions involved in the formative process of the teachers.La formación del profesorado depende del tipo de escuela que se pretenda conseguir. El autor advierte que la convergencia de los programas escolares y el desarrollo social resta al pensamiento educativo su fuerza anticipadora y orientadora. La escuela abierta no consigue sino repetir los mismos esquemas que la Ilustración no ha conseguido llevar a cabo, con lo cual la escuela se empobrece y el pensamiento educativo reproduce o repite lo qe el mundo industrial demanda, en vez de crear innovaciones que superen la mentalidad imperante. La propuesta que el autor hace consiste en potenciar una escuela-teatro, capaz de crear una base común de experiencia compartida para todos, dentro de un marco y tiempo limitados, versus una escuela taller, jardín, cuarto de estar, centro comunitario. Propone una escuela con rostro propio, un lugar donde podamos aprender cosas nuevas acerca de nosotros mismos y del mundo. Este modelo de escuela requiere una formación del profesorado que se centre más en la arquitectura, en la docencia, en el aprendizaje y en la temática escolares.
