This study analyses various aspects related with Alcabala’s medieval pay tribute. The diverse taxation territories within La Rioja in the late XV century and early 16th century have been chosen. With this aim, the study starts presenting the diverse taxation spaces and analyzing the capacity to pay taxes of each of them. Special attention has been paid to the main villages and cities, such as Logrono and Santo Domingo de la Calzada, which were the main collection centres for the Castilian Royal taxation administration in the territory of La Rioja.
