Hemangioma capilar lobular do septo nasal em dois pacientes jovens

O hemangioma capilar lobular nasal (HCL), também conhecido por granuloma piogénico, é um tumor benigno localizado na cavidade nasossinusal. A ocorrência de HCLs no septo nasal é muito rara, particularmente em crianças, sendo os sintomas de apresentação mais comuns a dor, epistáxis recorrente e/ou obstrução nasal unilateral. Atualmente a sua etiologia e fatores predisponentes, nomeadamente trauma, gravidez ou fatores hormonais, estão ainda pouco esclarecidos. O tratamento envolve a excisão cirúrgica da lesão, que pode, no entanto, apresentar recorrência. O diagnóstico diferencial de uma massa intranasal engloba um diverso conjunto de processos congénitos, inflamatórios e neoplásicos, sendo que a distinção entre o HCL e as lesões malignas é dificultada pelo seu rápido crescimento e apresentação frequente em contexto de epistáxis.
