This article aims to uncover the necessity of encouraging critical thinking as an important premisse to carry out the meaninful learning in Music. Thus, focused mostly on the fundamentals of critical pedagogy in Music Education, such as connecting personal experience with acquired knowledge from analysis and reflection through active listening of Rachmaninov’s music.
