Patrimonio natural y bienes públicos en el derecho colombiano

This article analyses the way that natural heritage and natural public assets are intertwined as techniques of protection of the same general interest: environmental protection. It can be noted that natural heritage, as a way of expression of public interest, acts on both public and private property; traditional public usage assets are, nonetheless, at the core of this regulation, the means by which they are protected and governed, by the administration and the judges in Colombia, are expressive of new and better ways to protect the environment.El objeto de este trabajo consiste en analizar la manera en que se entrelazan el Patrimonio Natural y los bienes públicos, como técnicas de protección de un mismo objeto: el medio ambiente. Se puede comprobar que el Patrimonio Natural se identifica con una afectación al interés general que se refleja en propiedades públicas y privadas; en la base, sin embargo, se encuentran los tradicionales bienes de uso público, con modalidades particulares de gestión y de protección, cuya garantía judicial y administrativa, aporta numerosos y novedosos elementos para la salvaguarda del medio ambiente
