The human neuromuscular system is able to perform motor tasks of great complexity, but when the homologous members act simultaneously, it is observed an inability to generate the maximum force, being this phenomenon denominated bilateral deficit. The aim of this study was compare the maximum force in unilateral and bilateral condition. The sample consisted of n=12 healthy male subjects with experience in strength training. The subjects were subjected to the one maximum repetition test in unilateral and bilateral condition. To verify the strength difference between the two conditions resorted to calculating the bilateral index.
