In this research, the use of ICT in the footwear manufacturing sector of Tungurahua, Ecuador, and the factors that affect their use, such as, digital literacy of the owners and/or managers, have been analyzed. For this purpose, an empirical analysis of sample of 233 firms of the province has been performed. Data has been obtained by applying a survey and analyzed using descriptive techniques and the Spearman correlation coefficient. Results show a low level of ICT use in these companies and that the owners and/or managers have low levels of digital literacy.
