Analysis of a project conducted on unaccompanied refugees children (MERNAs)

“An Unaccompanied Refugee children is a person under the age of 18, who is afraid of being persecuted, whose rights are threatened and is forced to leave his / her habitual residence and / or country of origin and is outside it, without the accompaniment of parents, relatives or other adult person, who, by law or custom, is responsible. “ (Angelidou & Aguaded, 2016). According to the Human Rights Watch researches (2016), serious crimes against refugees and immigrants children are being committed. The Government of Spain announced that they expect to relocate a total of 586 people before the end of 2017. At present, the number of refugees in Spain is more than 470. Specifically, Andalusia became, in September 2016, the first Spanish community that manages to relocate unaccompanied refugees children. The objective of this research is to analyze the socio-educational intervention, which is being carried out with these children. For this, the method used was in-depth interviews, y cuestionarios, which results offer very diverse information, from which we can conclude that there is a way forward, which is leading to improvements for children.Un niño refugiado no acompañado es una persona menor de 18 años, que teme ser perseguido, cuyos derechos están amenazados y se ve forzado a abandonar su residencia habitual y/o país de origen y está fuera de él, sin el acompañamiento de padres, familiares u otra persona adulta, quien, por ley o por costumbre, es responsable (Angelidou & Aguaded, 2016). Según las investigaciones de Human Rights Watch (2016), se están cometiendo crímenes graves contra los refugiados y los niños inmigrantes. El Gobierno de España anunció que esperan reubicar a un total de 586 personas antes de que termine 2017. En la actualidad, el número de refugiados en España es más de 470. Específicamente, Andalucía se convirtió, en septiembre de 2016, en la primera Comunidad española que logra trasladar a niños refugiados no acompañados. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la intervención socioeducativa que se está llevando a cabo con estos niños. Para esto, el método utilizado fueron entrevistas en profundidad, y cuestionarios, cuyos resultados ofrecen información muy diversa, de la cual podemos concluir que hay un camino a seguir, que está llevando a mejoras para los niños
