Organizaciones religiosas y su incidencia en el fenómeno migratorio. El caso de la Iglesia católica y la Pastoral Hispana en Minnesota

Abstract This paper aims to analyze the participation of the Catholic Church in the United States in the state of Minnesota, to study the role of the State in the face of Mexican migrants who have settled in this entity. We first present the context of the entity and the evolution of the migratory flow, as a new destination for Mexican migrants, as well as the importance they have gradually acquired.Resumen El presente trabajo pretende analizar la participación de la Iglesia católica estadounidense frente al tema migratorio en el estado de Minnesota. Específicamente se estudia cuál es el papel que asume el Estado ante los migrantes mexicanos que se han asentado en dicha entidad. Exponemos primero el contexto de la entidad y la evolución del flujo migratorio, como nuevo destino de los migrantes mexicanos, así como la importancia que paulatinamente han ido adquiriendo
