La teoría de los climas en Montesquieu, Hume y Voltaire: (Un problema de gramática histórica del Siglo de las Luces)

In this paper, the theory of climates is understood as the opposition between a standard model and a renewed one with an environmental dimension (the relationships between territories and peoples, between a geographic environment and moral, political and aesthetic systems). The standard model ascribes the transfer of physical attributes to moral ones in a negative way from a territory with physical characteristics through a determinism based on the notion of causality. It is necessary to replace the notion of causality with that of correlation or connection (Hume / Montesquieu) as only such notions enable a conception of the singular in politics. The theory of history is an example of the conflict between two conceptions of the theory of climates (Voltaire / Montesquieu).La "théorie des climats" se concibe aquí como la oposición entre una visión estándar y una visión renovada de dimensión medioambiental (las relaciones entre territorios y pueblos, entre un ambiente geográfico y los sistemas morales, políticos, estéticos). La versión estándar asigna negativamente la transferencia de lo físico a lo moral desde un territorio provisto de características físicas mediante el sesgo del determinismo basado en la noción de causa. Se ha de remplazar el nexo de la causalidad por las nociones de correlación o de conexión (Hume/ Montesquieu), las únicas que autorizan pensar lo particular en política. La teoría de la historia proporciona aquí un ejemplo de la disputa entre dos concepciones de la teoría de los climas (Voltaire/Montesquieu)
