Sade filósofo

The aim of this article is to discuss in which way Marquis de Sade sustains, in the work "The 120 days of Sodom", a pedagogical ideal that would illustrate his materialistic philosophy - a materialism led to the last consequences. Therefore, the investigation is based upon the european literary tradition, on the philosophical tradition as well as on elements of biographical order. From this point, it can be observed that Sade might be the intellectual who had taken to the ultimate consequences, on the moral and philosophical plan, some of the early modern thought.O objetivo deste artigo é discutir de que modo Marquês de Sade, na obra Os 120 dias de Sodoma, sustenta um ideal pedagógico que ilustraria a sua filosofia materialista - um materialismo levado às últimas consequências. Para tanto, a investigação se apoia na tradição literária europeia, na tradição filosófica e em elementos de ordem biográfica. A partir disso, pode-se constatar que Sade talvez seja o pensador que tenha levado às últimas consequências, no plano moral e filosófico, algumas premissas do pensamento moderno
