This paper studies the corrosion behavior of reinforced Portland cement mortars without addition and with additions of metakaolin (MK) and silica fume (SF). The proportion of the addition was 10% as cement replacement. Specimens with and without reinforcement were prepared. First, the compressive strenght, absorption, porosity, and chlride permeability were determined. The reinforced mortar specimens were exposed to chloride (NaCl 3.5%). Two techniques of accelerated corrosion, wetting-drying cycles and impressed voltage were applied. In both cases was used water as reference.
