Climate change affects directly the food system, reducing food availability and increasing access inequality for unfavorable sectors of the population. Resilience is the ability of the system to absorb disturbances or the promptness to recover from climate disturbances, and when applying the term, social resilience is created as the ability of communities to maintain the social structure in face of external shocks. The objective is to analyze different approaches of this concept in twelve publications that review cases in relation to extreme events caused by climate change and what is the role of peasant and indigenous organizations in them.
