This article offers a critical assessment of the complexity of the relationships between art and education deriving from developing projects in curation and contemporary artistic practices over the last ten years as a reaction to neoliberal-oriented educational policies. In this sense, it identifies some of the tensions and terminological debates generated from discussions and practical developments surrounding this phenomenon. The article also explores some of the transformative possibilities arising from favouring transversal cooperation between critical pedagogues, artists, curators and social movements.
