Ley de aseguramiento de calidad de la educación: más allá de los reportes ministeriales (2012 – 2016)

The Learning Standards are the quality referents of the elementary and secondary education in Chile. This assessment is more relevant when it is applied to the group of 4th grade students, because it corresponds to the end of the first elementary education cycle. This research analyzes the achievement of this group of students between the years 2012 to 2016, taking in account 5 years since enactment of the Education Quality Assurance Law and the application of the learning standards. It responds to the positivist paradigm, with quantitative techniques, particularly descriptive statistics. It reflects the national reality according to the socio-economic groups (GSE), estimates - according to this - the gap in the educative quality of and shows their impact.Los Estándares de Aprendizaje son los referentes de la calidad de la educación escolar en Chile. Esta evaluación resulta más relevante cuando es aplicada al grupo de estudiantes de 4° año, dado que corresponde al cierre del primer ciclo de educación básica. Esta investigación analiza el logro obtenido por este grupo de estudiantes durante los años 2012 a 2016, considerando 5 años desde promulgación de la Ley de Aseguramiento de Calidad de la Educación y la aplicación de los Estándares de Aprendizaje. Responde al paradigma positivista, con técnicas cuantitativas, particularmente estadística descriptiva.
