In the path of pointing out the protagonism of indigenous peoples in the american history, this article proposes to examine the case of a “misión del sur”, a jesuit mission in the 18thcentury, by a perspective that claim the native expectations about it. So, through an inversion of focus and approach, we reach to retake a classical theme preserving the natives from an invisible prism that they were allocated by the common narratives and tradicional recordings.
