Abstract

Close to celebrating a hundred years of César Dávila Andrade’s birth, it is necessary to think again and reread his writing, given the importance that he had and has in Ecuadorian writing. Consequently, a thoughtful tribute concerning his lyrical poetry is needed due to his legacy. The study corpus comprises “La casa abandonada”, “Canción de nostalgia” and “Carta de la ternura distante”, which show the desire to return to a time and space transformed.
