Objective: The study’s aim has been to distinguish the health needs prioritized by the nursing professional during the prenatal consultations and then to characterize their specificity and coverage. Methods: It is descriptive research with quantitative approach, which was carried out in four units of Estratégia Saúde da Família (Family Health Strategy), in Cuiabá-MT, through participative observation of 50 pregnant women during their consultations, reviewing 79 nursing records and performing the content analysis of thematic type.
