Efeito da idade relativa no Futebol feminino: uma análise no decorrer das edições das Copas do Mundo feminina FIFATM

This article aims to identify the influence of the period of birth on the performance and tactical positioning of high-level female football athletes of the 32 participating countries of the seven FIFA Women’s World CupTM editions. To accomplish this goal, it was collected on the official website of the entity's date of birth of 1601 athletes. As for the statistics, we used the chi-square test (X2) for analysis of the time of birth, with a significance level of p = 0.05, odds ratio (OR) and confidence intervals at 95% (CI). From this analysis, it is concluded that the overall picture, there is a Relative Age Effect (RAE) in the group of athletes, with no RAE when the analysis is fragmented (except athletes of the African continent) in tactical positional grouping, continental countries participants and the course of each Women's World Cup. With the evolution of the sport and the largest number of participants, may be in the future the possibility of RAE, which will require more related studies.O presente estudo teve por objetivo identificar a influência do período de nascimento sobre o desempenho e posicionamento tático de atletas de alto nível de futebol feminino dos 32 países participantes das sete edições da Copa do Mundo Feminina FIFATM. Para levar a efeito esse objetivo, foi coletada no site oficial da entidade a data de nascimento de 1.601 atletas. Quanto às estatísticas, foi usado o Teste Qui-Quadrado (X2) para análise do trimestre de nascimento, com nível de significância de p=0,05, análise de razão de possibilidades (OR) e intervalo de confiança no nível de 95% (CI). A partir dessa análise, conclui-se que no quadro geral, há um Efeito da Idade Relativa (EIR) no agrupamento das atletas, não havendo EIR quando a análise é fragmentada (Exceto atletas do continente africano) no agrupamento posicional tático, continental, países participantes e no decorrer de cada Copa do Mundo Feminina. Com a evolução do esporte e o maior número de participantes, poderá haver no futuro a possibilidade de haver EIR, o que necessitará de mais estudos relacionados
