The main aim of this article is to identify the group of Huesca combatants who took an active part within the Spanish contingent in the fight against fascism, serving in the ranks of both the French Resistance and the Free French army. Furthermore, it offers an overview of the various actions carried out by the Alto Aragonese combatants during the Second World War. This study is based on a detailed examination of different primary sources kept in the archives of the French Ministry of Defence, which, in relation to testimonies and secondary sources, has resulted in a detailed analysis of the involvement of fighters from the province of Huesca, a task that I have been able to carry out on the basis of two broader analysis frameworks: the stu...
