Um mapeamento empírico do campo de gestão de operações e logística

In addressing the field of operations and logistics management, it is necessary to understand that the area, previously seen as responsive and at operational levels, gains strategic status and is seen as a more central possibility as a source of competitive advantage. Due to the changes in the approaches to the field of research of the area, the following question is presented as a research problem: what space does the area of operations and logistics management have in academic publications? The objective of this article is to present the editorial field in operations management and logistics, as well as the main researchers. Methodologically the first data source used was a bibliometric study (Walter et al, 2012), bringing together publications in the logistics area of EnANPAD between the periods of 1997 and 2011. The second source of data was constructed by the authors, through the analysis of articles in the area of management in operations and logistics. It is possible to observe that the area of operations and logistics is in a state of consolidation in the country, since the number of researchers has increased, along with the number of publications in the area.Ao abordar o campo de gestão de operações e logística é preciso entender que a área, antes vista como responsiva e em níveis operacionais, ganha status estratégico e passa a ser vista como possibilidade mais central, enquanto fonte de vantagem competitiva. Devido as mudanças nas abordagens sobre o campo de pesquisa da área apresenta-se como problema de pesquisa a seguinte questão: qual espaço a área de gestão de operações e logística possui em publicações acadêmicas? Objetiva-se com o presente artigo apresentar o campo editorial em gestão de operações e logística, bem como os principais pesquisadores. Metodologicamente a primeira fonte de dados utilizada foi um estudo bibliométrico (Walter et al, 2012), reunindo as publicações na área de logística do EnANPAD entre os períodos de 1997 a 2011.
