Emmanuel Levinas and Seyla Benhabib consider that it is not possible to speakabout human rights without taking others into account. For these philosophers,human rights should be built upon on the awareness of others and their cultural,social, religious and other particularities. This paper, taking all this into account,analyzes Emmanuel Levinas and Seyla Benhabib´s arguments on the importance ofbeing aware of others in their diversity to build and implement human rights.
