Recently, it has been an increase of consultations in child and adolescent psychology services regarding problematic use of online video games. To provide an effective treatment, previous research into psychotherapeutic approaches of this problem is essential. The aim of this article is to present a description about the design process of a manualized intervention program for 12 to 18 year-old teenagers with Internet Gaming Disorder.
