El concepto del otro en la ética y la política de la liberación dusseliana

In the present article I seek first to offer a brief characterization of the central thematic points of the approach of E. Dussel with the thought of the philosopher E. Levinas, with special attention in an interpretation that puts the accent on the originality of the Levinasian proposal in so much criticism of Western ontology, but also indicate some of its theoretical limitations that prevent building a new totality from the political plane. The rereading that we could call "geopolitics" of the main categories of the philosophy of Levinas by Dussel, will show that the issue of the construction of a new totality -of one political order at the service of the other- is from where Dussel moves away from Levinas, but recognizing the importance of his ethical criticism. The second part of my work aims to go into more detail in those parts of the Dusselian works that are thematically relevant to understand what Dussel refers to with concretion of the Other. Finally, I will explain why I think that all the analysis corred out on the concept of the Other is necessary for a possible theoretical-practical restructuring of the political in Mexico. I will try to justify that before engaging in any demagogic political discourse with the Other, it is fundamental to begin by understanding that the true encounter with the Other takes place face-to-face. In this experience, which is proximity, which is recognition of the Other as equal, as an ethical-political experience.En el presente artículo busco en primer lugar ofrecer una brevísima caracterización de los puntos temáticos centrales del acercamiento de E. Dussel con el pensamiento del filósofo E. Levinas, con especial atención en una interpretación que ponga el acento en la originalidad de la propuesta levinasiana en tanto crítica de la ontología occidental, pero que también indique algunas de sus limitaciones teóricas que impiden construir una nueva totalidad desde el plano político. La relectura que podríamos denominar “geopolítica” de las categorías principales de la filosofía de Levinas por parte de Dussel, mostrará que el tema de la construcción de una nueva totalidad –de un orden político al servicio del otro– es desde donde se aleja Dussel de Levinas, pero reconociendo la importancia de su crítica ética. La segunda parte de mi trabajo se propone adentrarse con mayor detalle en aquellas partes de las obras dusselianas que resultan temáticamente pertinentes para comprender a qué se refiere Dussel con concreción del Otro.Por último, voy a explicar por qué pienso que todo el análisis llevado a cabo sobre el concepto del Otro es necesario para una posible reestructuración teórico-práctica de lo político en México y los países del Sur global. Intentaré justificar que antes de entablar cualquier discurso políticodemagógico con el Otro, es fundamental empezar por entender que el verdadero encuentro con el Otro acontece en el cara-a-cara.
