La investigación como actividad del ser humano

Research is an activity, which is inherent to mankind, it has granted us survival since ancient times. On their urge to discover, men and women from different eras and cultures have implemented research to solve their inquiries regarding their surroundings, usually with the purpose of contributing to a better world. In this way, we move forward by giving explanations to events, that our ancestors would explain by attributing them to magical powers from supernatural beings, and by using a methodology. Nevertheless, in order to advance in scientific research processes, a bigger step is required: in order to acquire this kind of knowledge we need a systematic, organized and verifiable process, led by a researcher on his urge to make science. As scientists we have a challenge to transmit to the local, national and international community the advances and results of our research. If knowledge is not published, it is tantamount to non-existing. In this sense, the publishing of articles through digital journals allows to visualize the scientific production beyond the national frontiers. It is precisely because of the immediacy and the easy distribution why Internet has become an important factor in the current academic realm. The diffusion of the scientific production through this tool allows, like never before, other researchers on this planet to advance on the development of their work, granting in this way the continuance of science. In this way, publishing becomes the link between the researcher and the scientific community. This is why publishing results of rigorous researches contributes to the collective construction of knowledge, and at the same time, it allows our college to fulfill our commitment of promoting research in all the disciplines of knowledge. In this way, with the intention of guaranteeing a greater diffusion of the research work of our authors, we actively made an incursion in the digital world, with the confidence that the published articles on this issue will contribute to the construction of knew knowledge and, unquestionably, a better life.Investigar es una actividad inherente al ser humano, que le ha garantizado la supervivencia desde épocas remotas. En su afán de descubrir, hombres y mujeres de todas las épocas y culturas han empleado la investigación para resolver inquietudes surgidas en su entorno, casi siempre con el fin de contribuir a un mundo mejor. De esta manera, avanzamos en dar explicaciones a sucesos que nuestros antepasados atribuían sin mayores pretensiones a los poderes mágicos de seres sobrenaturales, y comenzamos a emplear un método. Sin embargo, avanzar en procesos de investigación científica requiere un paso mayor: el obtener conocimientos de este nivel requiere de un proceso sistemático, organizado y verificable, llevado a cabo por un investigador en su afán de hacer ciencia. Como científicos tenemos el desafío de transmitir a la comunidad local, nacional e internacional, los avances y resultados de nuestras investigaciones. Si el conocimiento generado no se publica, es como si nunca hubiese existido. En este sentido, la publicación de artículos a través de revistas digitales permite visibilizar la producción científica más allá de las fronteras nacionales. Son precisamente la inmediatez y la fácil distribución los factores que han conferido a internet un papel tan importante en el ámbito académico actual. La difusión de la producción científica a través de esta herramienta permite, como nunca antes, que otros investigadores en diferentes lugares del planeta avancen en el desarrollo de su tema, garantizando así la continuidad de la ciencia. De esta manera la publicación se convierte en el enlace del investigador con la comunidad científica. Es así como publicar resultados de investigaciones rigurosas contribuye a la construcción colectiva del conocimiento y, le permite a nuestra universidad, cumplir con su compromiso de impulsar la investigación en todas las disciplinas del conocimiento. De esta manera, con el ánimo de garantizar una mayor difusión del trabajo investigativo de nuestros autores, incursionamos activamente en el entornodigital, confiando en que los artículos publicados en este número contribuyan a la construcción de nuevos conocimientos e, indiscutiblemente, a un mejor vivir
