In this paper, I will present the general features of personal verb inflection in Aymara and then analyze them within the theoretical framework of generative grammar, especially within Chomsky’s Agree theory (2001). I will introduce some characteristics of Aymaran verbal inflections, contrasting them with previous studies, such as Hardman 2001, Adelaar 2004 and Aranovich 2004. These linguists proposed that the Aymaran verbal inflection always agrees with two arguments, subject and complement (such as direct object or indirect object) even in the intransitive verbs.
