Objective: to determine the relationship between Internet addiction and family functionality in students of a University of Lima Norte. Materials and methods: cross-sectional correlational study. The sample consisted of 364 university students. The dependent variable was Internet addiction. The Chi-square, U of Mann-Whitney and Kruskal Wallis tests were used for the bivariate analysis. Results: of the sample, more than half corresponded to the female sex (58.2%). The average age was 19.8, most of them were 15 to 19 years old and belonged to the Psychology degree (39.3%).
