La percepción del alumnado de Educación Secundaria sobre el Aprendizaje Cooperativo en Matemáticas: un estudio de caso

Abstract:The objective of this study is to find out the effects, according to students, cooperative learning has on their level of learning in maths; their interpersonal relationships and their relationship with the subject (maths). The research used an interpretive case study methodology plus the use of qualitative information gathering tools. We sampled a total of 22 students of 3rd year of the Secondary Compulsive Education Scheme (ages 15 to 18). Amongst the results we highlight the central role students grant by some students to help provided by peers in improving their academic performance, and on how empathy and dialogue between equals help improve their interpersonal relationsResumen: El objetivo de este trabajo es averiguar los efectos que, según el alumnado, el Aprendizaje Cooperativo tiene sobre su nivel de aprendizaje en matemáticas, sus relaciones interpersonales y su relación con la asignatura. La metodología de investigación es un estudio de caso interpretativo con el uso de herramientas de recogida de información cualitativas. La muestra la han formado un total de 22 alumnos y alumnas, de entre 15 y 18 años, de 3º de ESO. Entre los resultados cabe destacar el papel central que parte del alumnado otorga a la ayuda entre iguales en la mejora de su rendimiento académico, y a la empatía y al diálogo entre iguales para la mejora de las relaciones personales.
