With the sanction of the Law on Higher Education (LES) and the Creation of the National Assessment and Accreditation Commission (CONEAU), the higher education system experimented a change in relation to state involvement in improving academic quality, as a result of processes and institutional assessment reports of external evaluation conducted by the CONEAU. In Res. No. 382/11, CONEAU first established institutional evaluation criteria grouped by dimensional analysis that guarantees a certain consistency in self-assessment reports in terms of minimum information. These reports are a valuable input for institutional evaluation process complemented by the visit of the peer reviewers to the assessed institution and a series of interviews. The...
