The purpose of this study is to analyze the different learning approaches, and their intensity, adopted by the students of the Universidad de Buenos Aires, in the Nutrition course of studies, in the public health care area, so as to demonstrate the way in which these students undertake their studies. Seventy seven students in a public health care class, taught during the second year of the course of studies, were assessed, as well as 41 students in the same class, taught in the fourth year. The study was a cross-sectional one. The questionnaire designed by Biggs was applied, translated and validated so as to fit the Argentine context by Witriw, anonymously and voluntarily.
