Burnout is characterized by emotional tiredness, depersonalization and derealization. This problem, derived from stress, is frequently present in workers of the health sector and is fostered by various organizational factors, prventing the development of a harmonious work environment and an adequate communication in the different hierarchical levels. The objective of this study consisted in defining the degree of prevalence of this workplace pathology in medical staff of a public sector hospital in the state of Hidalgo, as well as the relationship that it has with some demography and labor variables.
