The topic of the evaluation practice has become a focal point on the part of investigators and specialists, probably linked to the new proposals and pedagogical and curricular tendencies that aknowledge the importance of the evaluation as a pedagogical practice.The issue of the evaluation is highlighted in this article as one of the didactic components which approach is mainly emphasized considering the virtuality as a formation scenario and the dangers that in this context its practice brings, mainly when the procedures and tools that are reproduced are inherent of an in-person class. The bad practice of transferring what is done from an in-person class into a virtual class neglects the didactic implications of a different learning environment. It is there the importance of characterizing and appreciating the evaluation in virtual scenarios.The thoughts included here, are part of an advance that comes from an initial stage of research in which the construction of a desirable theoretical referent prevails and allows the description and the assessment of evaluation practices in virtual environments of teaching and learning mainly at the university, with the purpose of offering the backing up required by the teacher to avoid the reproduction of flaws and evaluative habits considered inadequate specially in this mode.Keywords: evaluation; EVEA; evaluative practice; innovation; theoretical reference.El tema de la práctica evaluativa se ha convertido en un foco de atención por parte de investigadores y especialistas, posiblemente asociado a las nuevas propuestas y tendencias pedagógicas y curriculares que reconocen la importancia de la evaluación como práctica pedagógica.En este artículo se resalta el tema de la evaluación como uno de los componentes didácticos cuyo abordaje destaca, especialmente, al considerar la virtualidad como escenario de formación y los peligros que en este contexto acarrea su práctica, sobre todo cuando se reproducen procedimientos y herramientas propios de un escenario presencial. La mala práctica de trasladar lo que se hace en el aula presencial al aula virtual, descuida las implicaciones didácticas de un ambiente de aprendizaje diferente, de ahí la importancia de caracterizar y valorar la evaluación en escenarios virtuales.Las reflexiones aquí incluidas, forman parte de un avance que deriva de una etapa inicial de investigación, en la cual prevalece la construcción de un referente teorico deseable, que permitirá la caracterización y valoración de prácticas evaluativas en entornos virtuales de enseñanza y de aprendizaje específicamente en la universidad, con el propósito de ofrecer el acompañamiento requerido por el docente para evitar la reproducción de vicios y hábitos evaluativos considerados inadecuados especialmente en esta modalidad.Palabras clave: evaluación; EVEA; práctica evaluativa; innovación; referente teórico
