Abstract The article describes and problematizes the statements that make up certain discourses about the body and its relationship with health that are displayed in advertising advertisements of cosmetics and related products that are present in magazines of shows, fashion and trends during the last years distributed in Argentina. The way of analyzing the discourses tries to describe the relations between utterances, to specify the position that each individual can and must occupy to be his subject, and the effects of truth that conforms around the body.
