Estudio de las agresiones recogidas durante 10 años hacia los profesionales de la salud

Introduction. The aggressions suffered by health workers due to their activity and materialized by the users, are situations of labor risk to be investigated. The objective of the research is to conduct a study of type II external violence. Material and methods. A retrospective study of 204 cases of external violence suffered by health professionals during the period 2005-2014 occurred in a Health Area of the Valencian Community. A descriptive and bivariate analysis was performed with the chi square calculation in order to establish a significant relationship between type of aggression and factors related to aggression. Results. A directly proportional relationship was observed between number of workers and number of aggressions. It was found a significant relationship between type of physical aggression and shif t, professional category and field of care. Male patient aggressors, female victims. The casuistry was increased in the summer months, morning shift and in the 4th hour of work. Older workers and those with less experience in that position suffered more aggression. The favorable causes vary between the discomfort of the user regarding the care and / or care received and the waiting time considered excessive. Conclusions. It identifies the type profile of the worker assaulted as well as the context where the aggression occurred and the risk factors that can allow to create strategic lines that include preventive programs directed to the health personnel.Resumen. Las agresiones sufridas por los trabajadores sanitarios por parte de los usuarios son situaciones de riesgo laboral a investigar. El objetivo que plantea esta investigación es efectuar un estudio de la violencia externa tipo II. Los objetivos del estudio son: medir la satisfacción laboral de los trabajadores que han solicitado VPT por motivo de salud en un Hospital de tercer nivel, y determinar las patologías, categorías profesionales y resultados de aptitud de los trabajadores que han solicitado VPT por motivo de salud. Material y métodos. Estudio retrospectivo de 204 casos de violencia externa sufrida por profesionales de salud durante el periodo comprendido entre los años 2005- 2014 acaecidos en un Área de Salud de la Comunidad Valenciana. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo y bivariado con el cálculo de la chi cuadrado con la finalidad de establecer relaciones significativas entre tipo de agresiones y factores relacionados con la agresión. Resultados. Se observó una relación directamente proporcional entre número de trabajadores y número de agresiones. Se constató una relación significativa entre tipo de agresión física y turno, categoría profesional y ámbito de atención. Los agresores pacientes varones, las víctimas mujeres. La casuística se vio aumentada en los meses estivales, turno de mañana y en la 4ª hora de trabajo. Los trabajadores de mayor edad y aquellos con menor experiencia en ese puesto sufrieron más agresiones. Las causas propiciadoras varían entre la disconformidad del usuario respecto a la asistencia y/o cuidados recibidos y el tiempo de espera que considera excesivo. Conclusiones. Se identifica el perfil tipo del trabajador agredido así como el contexto donde se produjo la agresión y los factores de riesgo que puedan permitir crear líneas estratégicas que incluyan programas preventivos dirigidos al personal sanitario
