The use of non-metallic fibers reinforced polymer (FRP) bars as reinforcement of concrete structures, in substitution of the steel, is bringing good results, mainly due to its anticorrosive proven stability. Also, it presents high tensile strength, low weight and magnetic transparency (PRFV case). This paper, presents the current state of the knowledge around the behavior of concrete structures reinforced with glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) bars subjected to different load conditions and environments.
