The following compounds are flavonoids isolated from Chromolaena tacotana, CT1 and CT3, from Chromolaena bullata CB2, and from Chromolaena perglabara CP7. Herein we show that flavonoid CP7 (Chromolaena perglabara) affects cell morphology and decreases cell viability in the following cell lines: K562, a human eritroleukemia cancer cell line, A375, a human melanoma cell line and Mel-Rel+ a murine melanoma cell line. The cell cycle analysis demonstrated that flavonoid CP7 inhibits cell proliferation, causes G1 arrest and induces apoptosis.
