Cambios hormonales por efecto de la terapia asistida con caballos en personas autistas

The horses assisted therapies are proliferating recently as a therapeutic activity and is one of the most common applications in the stimulation of autistic individuals. However, no scientific studies that corroborate the effects of this technique for this type of user. At the same time, it was recently revealed the influence of certain hormones like Oxytocin, Progesterone and Cortisol, social behavior, emotional and communication of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Therefore, we consider it helpful to hormone study such behavior in people with ASD and how it can act hormones behavior at the contact with the horse.Las Terapias Asistidas con Caballos están proliferando cada vez más como actividad terapéutica y representan una parte importante de la oferta de servicios en los centros ecuestres. Una de sus aplicaciones más frecuentes es la estimulación de personas autistas. Sin embargo, no existen estudios científicos que corroboren los efectos de esta técnica para este tipo de usuarios. Al mismo tiempo, recientemente se ha puesto de manifiesto la influencia de determinadas hormonas como la Oxitocina, la Progesterona y el Cortisol, en el comportamiento social, afectivo y de comunicación de personas con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). Por ello, consideramos muy útil el estudio de tal comportamiento hormonal en personas con TEA y cómo puede actuar éste ante el contacto con el caballo
